The Cullen Press

Pretty much everyone who read the saga picked a side. Either that or it’s Team Switzerland (like Leni even though she’s Robsessed!). Mine is more than crystal clear. Jacob all the way. And comes November, even though most of us know the outcome, we’re gonna see Edward Cullen and Jacob Black battle it out for one Bella Swan. The best part? New Moon is only the beginning…

Before I continue, this is an article I take personally (simply because I can). Another reason this is a corny from the bottom of my heart article (and a rant too, been frustrated lately..hahaha) Anyway…while I read New Moon the first time, my head went like this…

Yes that was exactly how it is. After a while when I decided, it was neither. I chose Dr Carlisle Cullen. After Eclipse, I pretended to be torn again between Edward and Jacob. And before I get any further Edward and Jacob never fail to be mention in almost all conversations. What can we say, they are an interesting discussion. These discussions are seldom about their vampire and wolf alter ego. It’s about the traits in them, traits of a man.

As I was saying, reading Twilight was like building a virtual love story for me. First, Farah fell deeply for Edward and then Edward left. Farah met Jacob and thought something’s there but could not configure so Farah went for Dr Carlisle, a safe choice after which Farah knew it has been Jacob all along. I made it known then I’m Team Jacob. Why? Because he didn’t leave. Reality or imagination, I hate it when men leave. I do NOT hate Edward (that much) but I hate the fact (or not) that he left Bella, and if I were Bella, I would choose Jacob. Yes I know, too bad for me things didn’t fall into my plan but still I wish it was written in another way. For instance, I’d rather Bella didn’t tell Jacob she loves him too (although I can relate to the ‘can’t help it’ part) and the ending? I would rather my hero died or rather be put out of his misery. Settling him with the imprint is so undescribeable at the moment. Jacob went all out for Bella knowing he will never ever be chosen and for that I love him as well. A man who fights for you tooth and nail (literally!) is definitely a man worth loving back.  However after reading the book the next time round, I didn’t mind if Jacob imprinted on Alice, would be interesting..

I just wish that in Eclipse, it was from Edward’s point of view instead of Jacob’s. If it truly is a love story between Edward and Bella, it should be from their point of views. People probably won’t be as torn as they are now if Jacob is nothing more than a third wheel.

Whenever we discussed Edward and Jacob, my conclusion is this, between Edward and Jacob? Jacob. Between Vampire and Werewolf? Vampire.

Well enough ranting. One more thing though, if indeed Stephanie Meyer choose Jacob for Bella, will the saga be as popular? Perhaps not as vampires seems more appealing as compared to werewolves. Just look at Interview with Vampire. Enough said.
